What sets it apart Firmware and software are fully open-source and reviewable, and Trezor's code base has been reused by several other hardware-wallet brands.
Trezor is a line of hardware wallets from Czech company SatoshiLabs, which shipped the first commercially available Bitcoin hardware wallet in 2014. The device holds private keys offline on a dedicated chip and confirms transactions on its own trusted display, and it supports Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana and thousands of other coins and tokens through the companion Trezor Suite app. What separates it from most competitors is that its firmware and software are fully open-source; the current Safe models also carry an EAL6+ certified secure element. It suits individuals self-custodying crypto who want auditable, offline key storage rather than leaving assets on an exchange.
