Power BI Copilot is Microsoft's generative AI assistant baked into Power BI, turning plain-English prompts into reports, DAX, and written summaries. It also lets end users query semantic models in natural language and auto-documents measures and synonyms. Since April 2025 it runs on any paid Microsoft Fabric capacity from F2 or on a Premium Per User license, and a tenant admin must switch it on first.

Power BI Copilot has no free tier. It requires a paid Fabric capacity (F2 or higher) or Power BI Premium (P1 or higher); trial and free SKUs are not supported, and a Power BI Pro or Premium Per User license alone is not enough. Each prompt is capped at 10,000 characters.

Yes. You can export a visual's data to Excel .xlsx (up to 150,000 rows, or up to 500,000 rows with a live connection) or to .csv (up to 30,000 rows). Report data with a sensitivity label can also be exported to Excel, PowerPoint, or PDF.

You cancel yourself in the Microsoft 365 admin center under Billing > Your products > Cancel subscription. With an MCA billing account you get a prorated refund only if you cancel within 7 days of the start or renewal; after that you can only turn off recurring billing and keep access until the term ends. Online cancellation works for subscriptions with 25 or fewer licenses.
