Free plan limits

There is no free plan anymore. Google stopped serving the free 'Gemini Code Assist for individuals' tier (and the Google AI Pro and Google AI Ultra tiers) in the IDE extensions and Gemini CLI on June 18, 2026, and points those users to Antigravity. The cheapest paid option now is the Standard business edition, about $19 per user per month on a 12-month commitment or about $22.80 month-to-month, billed monthly (price from cloud.google.com/products/gemini/pricing).

Cancellation

You can't cancel a Gemini Code Assist subscription during its term. To stop it, turn off auto-renewal in the Google Cloud console, and it ends at the end of the current term. Standard and Enterprise are sold on a monthly or yearly commitment, and every subscription is billed monthly (annual plans get a discounted rate that is still charged monthly).
